So when I realized two years ago that my love of children and easy-ness with them would lead to a focus on childrens portraiture in my repertoire, I always wondered if I would have an opportunity to photograph the very first children I had shot professionally, Wren and Pope….Wren at the time was a teeny tiny lil lady that just looked around with a smile ear to ear and Pope was climbing up somewhere….well it turns out that things had not changed much, LOL, other than the trees pope climbs are bigger and now Wren has a smile broken by her sweet little voice [seriously this chica would completely crack up laughing if she said one of the few words she knew, like "moon"!! hilarious.]. One of my favorite ways to shoot children are to ask the parent(s) to help with outfits [sometimes, lol, some kids are NOT COOL with their parents choosing their outfits!] then I ask the kids to play [with me of course joining in, LOL…nothing like playing “tag” again with 3 yr olds when your in your 30′s, LOL…to date, I still seem to always manage to be tagged, seriously kids you gotta go easy on this big guy, LOL. Few things bring me greater joy than laughing with children and their parents and then receiving their reactions when they see the images. Hope ya enjoy!
